The Direction des Affaires Culturelles de Monaco has announced the upcoming exhibition Mémoire des lieux, which will examine the heritage and evolving memories of the Principality. The exhibition is scheduled to take place at the Salle d’exposition du quai Antoine Ier from 1 October 2026 to 24 January 2027.
The showcase serves as a reflection on what remains when buildings disappear, landscapes transform, and the city is reinvented. Through photography, big-scale works, and audiovisual installations, the show explores Monaco as a territory in constant mutation, where architecture, narratives, and the experiences of its residents form a living memory.
Célia Bernasconi, the director of the Institut du Patrimoine, is the curator of the exhibition. The event is part of a broader mission to preserve and promote the works that contribute to the history of Monaco.
The exhibition will feature guest artist Gabriel-Noé Rosticher, a 2023 graduate of Pavillon Bosio. Rosticher will present an original film that provides a sensory mapping of the Principality, focusing on its tunnels, galleries, and evolving infrastructure. His work explores both the visible and invisible dimensions of urban spaces.
Scenography for the exhibition is being provided by Louise Chatelain and Théophile Sargenti as part of the Pavillon Bosio Décors programme. The exhibition is open to the public with free entry between 12:00 and 18:00, Tuesday to Sunday.
