The Princess Grace Rose Garden will host an official awards ceremony on 23 September to celebrate the winners of the eighth Monaco International New Rose Competition. The event, scheduled for 5 p.m., will honour recipients of special prizes selected by the public and various participating partners.
Organised by the Friends of the Princess Grace Rose Garden Association and the Urban Amenities Department of the Prince’s Government, the competition follows the initial jury deliberations held on 30 April. That session resulted in the awarding of the PIAGET ROSE Trophy, the Fragrance Cup, and the Friends of the Princess Grace Rose Garden’s Favourite Rose Award.
Throughout the summer season, visitors were invited to cast votes for their favourite rose bushes. The upcoming ceremony will announce the winner of the Public’s Choice Award, a distinction based on the personal preferences of those who viewed the new rose varieties presented this year.
The ceremony will also include the presentation of the Grace and Elegance Award. Sponsored by the Soroptimist Club of Monaco, this award recognises a rose bush that exemplifies beauty, refinement, and floral excellence, reflecting the club’s commitment to promoting women, culture, and excellence.
In a charitable component of the event, a cheque will be presented to BE SAFE Monaco. The donation is funded by the official sale of the competition’s rose bushes, which took place on 27 May. This initiative, managed by the Friends of the Princess Grace Rose Garden Association and the Urban Amenities Department, supports the work of BE SAFE Monaco in promoting road safety and accident prevention.
