The Principality of Monaco has announced extensive road and traffic modifications ahead of the 83rd Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco, which will take place from Thursday 4 June to Sunday 7 June 2026. The government has outlined significant changes to road usage, parking arrangements and pedestrian access across the principality during the event period.

Vehicle access to numerous key streets will be restricted from the early morning until the conclusion of the races on each day. Closed roads include the quai des États-Unis, route de la Piscine, appontement Jules Soccal, darse Sud, boulevard Albert Ier, quai Albert Ier, quai Antoine Ier, avenue de la Quarantaine, and several other locations. Single carriageway restrictions will be reversed on rue Princesse Florestine, rue Suffren Reymond, rue Saige, and rue de Millo. A two-way system will be established on rue Grimaldi between rue Suffren Reymond and place d’Armes, while rue Notari will operate as a two-way street between rue Suffren Reymond and rue Princesse Antoinette.

Additional restrictions apply to the Louis Auréglia slip road, tunnel Sainte-Dévote, tunnel Débarcadère, avenue des Papalins, and the Monaco-Ville single carriageway. Non-Monaco-registered vehicles will be prohibited from avenue de la Porte Neuve. From 15 to 18 June between 09:30 and 16:00, a one-way system will be established on avenue J.-F. Kennedy, requiring vehicles entering from boulevard Louis II to proceed towards quai des États-Unis.

Parking restrictions will be implemented across multiple locations. From 31 May at 17:00 until 8 June, certain areas on avenue du Port will be closed. From 31 May at 23:00 until 8 June at 08:00, avenue de la Costa will be affected. Specific spaces on quai Jean-Charles Rey, avenue des Guelfes, rue Princesse Florestine, and numerous other streets will be unavailable during various times throughout the event period. Residents and workers with appropriate identification will maintain access to properties adjacent to the circuit.

Pedestrian access to several routes will be suspended from the early morning until the conclusion of the races on 4, 5, 6 and 7 June. Pedestrians holding a ticket for the 83rd Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco or a pass issued by the Automobile Club de Monaco or the Sûreté Publique will be permitted access within the circuit perimeter and on designated routes including quai Albert Ier, avenue de la Costa, and boulevard du Larvotto. Access to buildings immediately adjacent to the circuit will remain available to residents and workers upon presentation of identification documents.

Electric vehicle charging stations operated by Monaco ON will be deactivated from 3 to 7 June at locations including rue Grimaldi, rue Louis Notari, avenue de la Quarantaine, quai Jean-Charles Rey, and quai des États-Unis. Additional charging points on rue Florestine, avenue des Ligures and avenue de la Madone will remain offline until 9 June.

As part of its mobility plan, the Princely Government has extended the free bus network operated by Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco during major events in the principality. Bus fares will be waived from 1 to 8 June inclusive across the entire network, not just routes serving the Grand Prix venues. Bus routes will be diverted and reinforced for the occasion, with further details available on the CAM website.
